Peru is characterized by being one of the countries that still conserve traditions, culture, typical clothes, customs, and especially in the Andes.
The Peruvian textiles were transmitted from generation to generation since pre-Inca times, and are still preserved until our times, where the indigenous people shaped their culture, experience, customs, their wisdom, their philosophy, taxed time and space in their iconographies and in their textiles.
It is, for this reason, Kutiq has focused on recovering and preserving the Andean wisdom and we seek to teach the new generations and everyone who is interested in learning about this cultural and historical wealth.
The most impressive thing is that they mastered the art of dyeing and used natural elements from their surroundings, such as plant leaves, stems, roots, fruits, flowers, stalks, insects, etc. This transcended for generations, up to our generation, and thus will continue to transcend future generations through the teachings.
Kutiq is now in charge of expanding this ancestral knowledge, through its school of ancestral teachings, all teachers are natives of the high Andean communities who dominate and have extensive knowledge of weaving techniques.
